PDI Course Title:
POST Name of Course:
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)
Tactical Emerg. First Aid/Trauma Care
Course Description:
An absolute must take course to acquire the skills to truly save a life, others’ lives and maybe your own! Learn how to use the most up to date TECC techniques and equipment.
This course provides in-depth coverage of response protocols and priorities, potential threat and injury scenarios, mass casualty triage, and rapid medical stabilization care skills. These skills provide the rapid interventions for critical trauma injuries, to stabilize victims, self-help, and provide the best outcome for survival and recovery. This is a must take course for anyone who carries a gun for a living.
The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive foundation and build proficiency in the skills of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) as defined by the national protocols established by The Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC). These skills were adopted by CA POST and CA EMSA, and were added to the mandatory scope of practice skills for law enforcement in CCR Title 22 in April 2015.

Lunch:
This LUNCH purchase option only applies to courses taught at the LAPPL classroom location in DTLA. All DTLA PDI class days over 4 hours of instruction time will have a lunch break.
There are no lunch spots within walking distance of the training location, DTLA restaurants can take longer than the allotted lunch break time, and parking in DTLA is expensive. Therefore, the LAPPL has arranged for the option of a delivered catered lunch which may be purchased in advance by students. If not purchasing a lunch, students are encouraged to bring their own lunch, as the lunch break is used for networking and professional growth time.
If you’d like to reserve a catered lunch for the day(s) of your class, please purchase a lunch ticket below. For classes that span over a couple days, please make sure you select all the correct days that the class will run.
